A year ago today 'Black Wednesday' occured and the so easy to download Grateful Dead soundboards were gone forever from LAMA.

An sad firestorm of accusations and grumbling ensued but I'm proud to say my collection has tripled since last year thanks to the wonderful torrent sites, kind traders and friends. Those who thought the boards would now be unavailable were wrong and the GDP download series tanked and they had to sell out to Rhino.

This Thanksgiving the 'vault' is in Burbank and many of our homes and now only GDP in San Rafeal is without the soundboards.

Strange.

Very. And the result for me was twofold: one, i discovered some excellent AUD sources on the Archive that i might not have looked at so readily prior to the SBDs being pulled; and two, i started looking into the various bit torrent sites, with the resulting mushrooming of my once small digital collection.

You are correct, Ironic isn't it?
